Dr.Siju Iluyomade ARISE WOMEN 2019: BlueMouse Media Trains on Digital Marketing
Dr. Siju Iluyomade, the convener of Arise Women 2019 championed the empowerment of 1000 women with skills- this September 23 -28, 2019. In her words, she said, ‘it is time for the Arise Women-like a ship- to sail and chart new territories and to lend a voice to their dream and flourish like the flower. Little wonder this year’s conference is tagged Arise and Bloom.

ARISE is a Faith-based Non-Governmental Organization which is committed to accelerating nation building through the empowerment of women in the society. Towards this end, ARISE has been able to train many women in various skills, courtesy the skills acquisition training offered by the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
“Our objective is to challenge more women to take on positions of responsibility in line with scriptural principles and ensure we impact our homes, businesses and society positively in our growing our nation”
She decided to empower 1000 women in the areas of Catering, Soap Making, Photography, Decoration/Event Planning, Tailoring/ Fashion Designing, Hat and Bead Making, Leather Works, Gele ( Head-gear) Tieing, Wig Making, Traditional Master of Ceremonies, and Digital Marketing. All these have been put together in order for the Arise Women participants and trainees to achieve self-sufficiency. The skill acquisition programmes took place at the Hope Hall of the Redeemed Christian Church of God inLagos. It was a beehive of learning; a lot of women could not hide the joy for acquiring skills with huge potentials to make them money.

BlueMouse Media was chosen to be part of the faculty to train these women. Ijewemen Ojo, the founder and Managing Consultant of BlueMouse Media trained the women in a 4-day crash Digital Marketing courses. The overarching training objective was to em-power the budding entrepreneurs and small business owners with the soft digital skills for selling their products and services online to the teeming Nigerian internet users.
A bonus class on eCommerce and mini importation was taken by his partner and Assistant Facilitator, Mr Tunde Oladejo, an eCommerce expert based in Lagos, Nigeria. The expectations of the women rose when a few secrets in mini-importation were revealed to them vis-à-vis how to do your market research in order to make over 1500% Return On Investment. The profit margins the class calculated was an eye-opener.
Tosin Ijewemen-Ojo is the General Manager, BlueMouse Media, and an Educationist with speacialization in Biology. She is also a Lifestyle trainer.
